Volunteer hospice visiting program

Volunteers specially trained in palliative care make regular visits to long-term care institutions and to the homes of people with life-threatening illnesses at the end of life. The purpose of the visits is to accompany these people and support them at this crucial stage of their lives. The program also offers caregivers counselling and support services during the mourning period. In addition, clients living at Place St-Laurent who choose to die at home can take advantage of the services provided by our personal support workers 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

N.B.: Care services do not include medical services. However, access to medical care can be managed by a CAH case manager.
