\u00a0<\/p>

CAH’s Board of Directors is a governance board<\/strong> composed of up to nine (9) directors<\/strong>, who leverage the diversity of their expertise, perspectives, and commitment to the organization’s mission.<\/p>

Board members play an essential role in ensuring strategic oversight, accountability, and sound governance<\/strong>, ensuring that the organization acts in accordance with its values, legal obligations, and long-term objectives.<\/p>

Eligibility Criteria<\/strong><\/p>

To apply to the Board of Directors, individuals must:<\/p>

  • Be a member in good standing<\/strong> of the corporation<\/li>
  • Be 18 years of age or older<\/strong><\/li>
  • Reside in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA)<\/strong><\/li>
  • Be able to communicate effectively in French<\/strong><\/li><\/ul>

    \u00a0<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

    Onboarding and Governance<\/strong><\/p>

    Selected individuals participate in a comprehensive onboarding and orientation process<\/strong>, designed to provide them with the knowledge and tools necessary to carry out their governance responsibilities. Ongoing training opportunities are also offered to support their development. <\/p>

    Commitment<\/strong><\/p>

    Board members are expected to demonstrate active commitment, including:<\/p>

    • Attend 10 meetings per year<\/strong>, held primarily virtually<\/strong><\/li>
    • Participate in an annual in-person retreat<\/strong>, dedicated to training, strategic reflection, and team cohesion<\/li>
    • Prepare for meetings and contribute to informed decision-making<\/li>
    • Participate in committee work <\/li>
    • Participate in community events \u2013 represent CAH<\/li><\/ul>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
