"You never know where you'll end up by asking questions. It's the best way to see if you could make a difference in an organization. Be curious!"

Testimonial from Raisa Pesel

Raisa Pesel is a woman of science. Why then did she want to join the CAH board? Originally from Romania and having studied in Limoges, she wanted to speak French again, a rare opportunity in her work environment. Her friend Edgard-Casimir Lalo-Sayo, a member of our board, therefore invited her to CAH’s last annual general meeting.

“I spoke with several residents whom I really liked, and realized there is much to say and do. Then, there was the curiosity of doing something diametrically opposite. I like stepping out of my comfort zone.”

Raisa subsequently found that the board members were people genuinely interested in the organization’s challenges.

To those who would like to get involved on a board, Raisa advises: “You never know where you’ll end up by asking questions. It’s the best way to see if you could make a difference in an organization. Be curious! You don’t know what you don’t know!”
